Lol. Yeah. Well the theme is made to be old skool.
And you were up in the club, dancing like your mom and your pops, word? :p
I'd like it a lot if it came in a mini version, FWIW...I feel like most FF themes have icons that are way too big, esp. on a 1024x768 laptop screen. They are more at home at 1280x1024 on my desktop.
But I do love the colors. Do yo' thang, boy! :)

Like others have said, I would suggest the iMac as well. If you already have a monitor then you can use it a second monitor with the iMac and have more screen real estate.

Because Apple has the final word and will never allow such stickers, as they are distracting and destroying the overall beauty of their products.
They send two Apple stickers with their products though.
Btw, during the switch to Intel, many thought we would get "Intel Inside" stickers, but we didn't get those, not even a small imprint on the back/bottom. The G3 and G4 was more branding than we currently have.

Once Lion comes out, will it also ship with refurbs? or will refurb macs (2010 models) continued to be shipped with snow leapord??
They might not be pre-installed, but you should be able to get a drop in disc for free or a small fee.

Strange. It doesnt really have all that much info in it. It just has pictures of the p58 and since it has come out it isnt really that informative anymore. The reason the one that the one i got from apple is interesting is that it has a mention and the circuitry info for firewire 2 ports.

Can you say more? What is task eater? How can it help?
thanks
http://www.tobiaswiedenmann.com/taskeater/index.html ability to set reminders recurring and once, there's an update coming to bring lists which i think you wanted, and there is self assignable categories so your tasks are organised by what they entail like home, work, business stuff.. and most of all it just looks great! :)
and so simple, which some love, others don't.. ive tried various difference todo apps and setups from Things, Wunderlist, Dropkick which is relatively unknown but so simple and has cloud sync and a mac client too
its all about what you like and what you'll work best with :)
thanks

I would be interested in this. I've had friends tell me that it is difficult to return an engraved iPod. I wonder if it would be the same for the iPad?

This is pointless to really bring up as a serious problem but...
Is there a way to buy specific parts from a third-party vendor that is compatible with a Powerbook 12"?
Well, here's the specific thing:
You know those little nubbin's on the bottom of a laptop? Made of rubber and/or plastic? Well, one of mine "fell off" or something, so not it wobbles, and I lack the willpower to deface the computer even more by removing the same nubbin on the other side of the computer.
So. -_-
Yes. -_-
I'm really asking this.

You can restore your iTunes Library file from just before the deletion, via Time Machine. You'll have to do this while iTunes is NOT running, though. By default, the file is here: /Users/username/Music/iTunes/iTunes Library

you just did... or almost. head over to Stanford (http://folding.stanford.edu/download.html) and download the software that is right for your system, enter your username and the team number of 3446, and let it run forever more.
any questions, post them here and someone should be able to help you out. again, thanks and welcome aboard! :)

hi there,
Thanks to this forum, i need again a piece of help before i connect my new 15"mbp to my aluminum cinema display 23". I bought the DVI to mini DVI connector but i forgot about the firewire cable from the monitor... the unibody mbp don't have such plug unlike my older 2008 mbp model. So what to do with this firewire cable? any other adaptor?

that's two months+ away and by then, tibook may be at 1 ghz and have 64 MB ati video card or ddr ram...or both
...and that may steal high end sales since there must be a lot of pros who are contemplating a tower or a tibook, now that laptops are truly desktop replacements

So for that particular user group, it would make sense. But overall, this is a niche user within a niche. But IMO, it would have more of a "pay-off" as a marketing strategy to sell systems, even if most users can't actually make full use of it, if at all. So thinking along those lines, it will need to be cheap in order to prompt Apple into providing it on the next MP.
It's a niche market for now, and most users don't use it at all. But once peripherals start using TB, it will become more widespread. But peripheral manufacturers won't rush out products until there is a good install base of computers that support TB. For that to happen, Apple will need to support it throughout its product line. Whether that happens this year or by the beginning of 2012 depends on when the products get updated. All new Macs will have TB.
Of course, if it's limited to Macs it will still be a niche market. Unless it's adopted by the PC market, it could become the next FireWire (superior to USB in many respects, but not omnipresent like the latter). In addition to hard drives and monitors, I think we'll soon see TB connectors on scanners, cameras and more.

I am not sure I like these changes for a few reasons
1) Those who troll or insult can be reported via PM
2) Opinions should be able to be stated in an argument and not need to be backed up by sources. Sources are nice, but requiring them? These are discussion threads on topics on the internet, not an official venue of anything
My suggestions would be to simply
1) report trolling/namecalling posts
2) request that if a point is brought up and taken hold of, that the person who brought up the point provide evidence or stop pressing the point....but not necessarily require sources right off
I know that many post as the topic interests them and want to discuss it but do not have in many cases the time to go dig up articles.
I don't feel that MR needs to take an active role in debate threads in terms of moderation aside from what has been done (not tolerating spam, name calling, trolling, etc). I feel debate threads should take whatever form as long as they are adhering to decency rules. I guess my point is that these forums are not akin to "debate club" and should not necessarily be treated as such. Besides, I have felt that moderation on past threads has been more than adequate in keeping the topic on topic and civil
Just my opinion
