I have an old NEC monitor and when I plug in the screen to the 7500 the screen's image is all distorted. I think it is because the monitor doesn't support the 7500's resolution. It's to distorted for me to see where the mouse is going so it would be impossible to change the resolution. Is there a key combination that will change the resolution or at least open the monitors control panel. The 7500 is running system 8. I plugged in a Cetris 650 to the screen and it worked fine. The NEC monitor is VGA so I am using a VGA to Apple converter. Any help would be great. I'll try booting with extentions off, maybe that will do something? Also the Cetris 650 has its own graphics card teh 7500 is just using the one that is on the motherboard. Thanks in advance :-)

The short answer is no. For the reason why, read the other ongoing threads about SHSH.

Unless we have another avatar contest and you win the contest, you won't be eligible for an avatar until you have 500 or more posts. At your post rate, that will take you almost exactly one year. But you can put a photo in your User Profile any time you like.
Edit: I see that you do have one. Is that you in the photo?
Yes, it's me.

Good stuff... I just talked to a friend who works at this store and he said they've got more than enough iPads to satisfy just about everybody. I'm hoping the line isn't TOO long when I get there @ 3...

Ahh thanks for the responses. Sorry for my ignorance, I had no idea 3.0 wasn't compatible, I just assumed it worked since the plug fits :P Yes I am using a new model macbook pro (well waiting for it to arrive, anyway)
You mentioned "when it does gain support" does that mean there is talk of updating drivers, or is it more likely that it will only be supported in future updates of the Macbook model itself?
Also about OWC, I wasn't able to find any that were NOT run off an external power source so I assumed the Western Digital 640gb was the only size available. I'm on the go a lot, so I don't always have a convenient outlet to plug an external into.

What does this say about Haim Levine [Sheens nickname for Lorre, whose real name is Charles Levine] after he tried to use his words to judge and attempt to degrade me. I gracefully ignored this folly for 177 shows I fire back once and this contaminated little maggot cant handle my power and cant handle the truth. I wish him nothing but pain in his silly travels especially if they wind up in my octagon. Clearly I have defeated this earthworm with my words imagine what I would have done with my fire breathing fists. I urge all my beautiful and loyal fans who embraced this show for almost a decade to walk with me side-by-side as we march up the steps of justice to right this unconscionable wrong.

Boinc on Osx 10.57 doesn't crunch with the Nvidia 9400m?
While I was trying out Win 7 I installed Boinc and Seti@home was crunching with the cpu and gpu.

Don't install a Dev Preview that you downloaded from Demonoid. That would probably be a great place to start fixing that issue.

Firefox doesn't obey the system-wide settings. Safari should.
There used to be setting in about:config in Firefox, but it seems to be un-implemented and no longer there in Firefox 3.6.xx

All seems a little curious. I'm not the world's greatest MS Office guru, but what about trying to produce a PDF from the downloadable trial of Word 2011? It seems to have better native support for producing PDFs.
I've got to solve my disk space issues before trying that. :p
What fonts are you using? What format are they?
I'm sorry to say this in the design forum, but Calibri/Cambria. Both are TTF and provided by Office 2008.

It's an efi boot manager, this will let you select between bootable OS' installed on your machine.

Cannot do a clear case and keep the RFI rating it currently has, remove the metal box and the computer would get extremely noisy. And check on some of the clock rates to find out where to tune the your radio, tv, cell phone, etc. dial.
Why? It's a dream, wake up... smell the coffee. http://adwoff.com/ubb/graemlins/gmorning.gif
Geez your dour today Blah. What's the problem? You got a bad case of the blahs.:)
Hey it's your dream. Don't let other people stomp on it. If Steve Jobs and Wozniak had when they had started Apple it wouldn't have gone anywhere. Also I have a question for everyone. I hear everyone refering to the current case as the El Capitan. Wasn't it originally the Yosemite? Or was Yosemite just the code name for the B/WG3?

I liked the multi-gestures in the iOS 4.3 beta's that didn't get released in the GM build. Is there any chance in using the new redsn0w or Pwnage to use it instead of the current 4.3.1? I have all my SHSH's saved locally and via Cydia since day one.

Well I'm 34 and have been gaming since commodore 64's were released. I'm not really into games of this kind but I have to say it's probably the greatest game i have ever played. Possibly with the exception of "elite". In fact I sold my 360 because the game was taking over my life......when i deleted my saved games there were over a thousand of them.....
Hah, that's pretty impressive! So is the description of it's open endedness pretty accurate? I enjoy MMO's, well I enjoy parts of MMOs. I am probably one of the few people who like the idea of an open world with lots of quests and 'mini-adventures' (basically a series of related quests) but not necessarily any larger storyline (not adverse to them, but would rather have a couple mid-sized stories, and lots of smaller adventures than one big story). But, I don't like the time suck that is the MMO. I don't even mind the "grinding" when it's done in the path of a quest like WoW, but I don't like the feeling of having to group up with other people for hours on end to accomplish something.
Anyway, the descriptions of Oblivion sounded a lot like something I would enjoy, but I don't have a computer capable of running it, and I've got to be pretty sure there are at least 6 games out or close to out that I want for the 360 before I plunk down $300+ on one.

Point being that if it's going to be November (which I do believe) then we might as well wait for Steve's MWSF presentation to see what's next. Not that he's necessarily going to tell us then. But that perhaps he'll tell us then.
The other factor will be some benchmarks on the 1.25 to see how much faster it really is. And the other factor is if it is a 7470 or not. Another factor is lust. Another factor is impatience. Another factor is the developement of OS X.2.2 or 2.3. There are an awful lot of bugs in this 10.2.0 that have scared me off of upgrading. I have a very happy and what I percieve to be fast 10.1.5 running on an "old" 500 MHz/100MHz/1.5 GB/100 GB/GF2 CUBE running SILENT.
So while I would like to boost my capability 5+ times, which I'm sure the dual 1.25 would do, I would also like to wait a little longer and boost my capability 10 times or more which I think the first generation Power4 may do.
I also may not have a clue. But I guarantee you I will be in the room when IBM explains what they're up to with the Power4 Processor the morning of October 15th at the San Jose Fairmont Hotel.
Care to join me?
I'll meet you on the other side. I'll stick with a dual 1.25 and be very happy with it. Believing that apple with use the new IBM chip is as much a fact as the 7470 chip even existing. Just becuase we all want faster chips doesn't mean were going to get them. Just becuase there is some IBM chip meeting doesn't have anything to do with apple. There's a reason why this is a rumor site and shouldn't be taken that seriously. We have to let the G5 at MWSF dreams die. Let's be happy with what we've got and know that it beats anything Wintel releases.

One of the greats. (http://www.nytimes.com/2011/04/10/movies/sidney-lumet-director-of-american-classics-dies-at-86.html?hp) 12 Angry Men, Serpico, Dog Day Afternoon, Murder on the Orient Express, Network and The Verdict to name a handful.
Sidney Lumet, a director who preferred the streets of New York to the back lots of Hollywood and whose stories of conscience 12 Angry Men, Serpico, Dog Day Afternoon, The Verdict, Network became modern American film classics, died Saturday morning at his home in Manhattan. He was 86.
His stepdaughter, Leslie Gimbel, said the cause was lymphoma.
While the goal of all movies is to entertain, Mr. Lumet once wrote, the kind of film in which I believe goes one step further. It compels the spectator to examine one facet or another of his own conscience. It stimulates thought and sets the mental juices flowing.
Social issues set his own mental juices flowing, and his best films not only probed the consequences of prejudice, corruption and betrayal, but also celebrated individual acts of courage.
