Ok so I have a old ipod click wheel. I have come to realize that plugging in the ipod to a power adapter is part of the restore process. I dont have a power adapter. Is there anyway around this.

I wonder if anybody had a chance to try recently released GuestPC emulator (http://www.lismoresystems.com/index.html)?
I heard about company before (they had PC emulator before, forgot the name) so I am interested how this compares with VirtualPC in terms of performance and compatibility?
Moderator: Can you please delete this thread, this question should go to Mac Software and I started new thread there. Thanks.

Just curious if there is a way to output to an older tv. It has aux audio so I can use the headphone jack of the mbp. I know mini dvi had a video out but is there any solution for mini display?

I don't know if anyone is experiencing this issue, but when I go on Google's website on Safari, it does not allow me to search or enter anything. I type stuff in the box field, but when I hit 'search' on the pop-up keyboard or press 'search google' on the page, nothing happens. It works the first time but when you want to type something else, it doesn't allow to enter that search term.
I think it may be a minor software bug or maybe Google in my local area is experiencing technical difficulties?

The WiFi music sync in Blackberry Desktop Manager 2.0 for Mac OS X *only* works with Blackberry OS 6.
There is only one currently shipping OS 6 device: The Blackberry Torch on AT&T.
No wonder RIM's marketshare is plummeting like a rock. The non-advancement is breathtakingly stupid.
The FAIL is YOU for not READING.
WIFI music sync is specific to BB6 and was not promised for BB5 or lower devices - upgrade or pucker up. MAN you guys complain WAAAAY too much. Also BB6 is on: 9800 Torch, 9780, Style, and officially released by 1 carrier for 9100 Pearl (yet you cannot update other carriers firmware when using BBDM for Mac - you CAN using Windows or VMWare with Windows).

I have an incase sleeve and like it a lot. FYI the incase sleeve is $40 in the u.s.a. either at the apple store or any b & m store thats atleast what i have found.
They are several cases that are cheaper but I lug my mbp around a lot and felt the protection was a small insurance policy (with in reason).

I would suggest Kochan (http://www.amazon.com/Programming-Objective-C-2-0-Stephen-Kochan/dp/0321566157) for Objective-C and follow up with Hillegass (http://www.amazon.com/Cocoa-Programming-Mac-OS-3rd/dp/0321503619) for more Cocoa.

I've always wanted to have a photo that looked like this (http://www.flickr.com/photos/erinnnk/5593096681/in/photostream) it's kind of soft and kind of faded. I looked all over but still do not know how to obtain this effect. How do I do this?

I've got an iBook and have the Energy Saver set to put the display to sleep after 20 minutes or whatever. But I've noticed that if I've got my TV plugged in, when the iBook's display turns off, so does the TV output. How do I stop this from happening?

Im experiencing a similar problem whenever I switch from portrait to landscape mode on the edges of my screen. This is my third iPad now; first one had extreme yellow haze out of the bottom right corner to the middle of the screen, second one would keep freezing within the ipod app (even the "genius thought it was strange" and third one has your problem as well. Any luck with it going away on its own?

So I can take a picture in Photo Booth, drag and drop on desktop to have it there and then delete from within the Photo Booth application and there will be no signs of it in the Photo Booth folder, correct?
Correct. Why not just test it to find out for yourself? It's quite simple to do.

Because there's no problem in doing so.
