Hey, my friend just got admission in a college and since she is not a US citizen or permanent resident. So, she needed a co-signer who is one but unfortunetly she couldnt get one cuz no one other then your own family member will trust u and sign and affidavit or co-sign a loan. Now her aunt who came with her husband on his work visa,been living for 9 yrs, recetly went out of status(I dont know the reason as its personal) has bank account and of course some savings. So my friend's aunt signed the Affidavit for my friend that was required by the university in order to process the student visa. Now after the application is filed, my friend is worried and maybe you can help her answer the questions. Her english isnt so good so Im going this for her(thu mine is bad too :)
-I do know one thing that if a person getting a student loan is not a US citizen/permanent resident she/he would need a co-signer who is one and I also know that for sure that the loan agency check the credit history of a co-signer. SO,since my friend's aunt isnt a permant resident or a US citizen(she is out of status in fact) so she cannot be my friend's co-signer for the student loan BUT what about Affidavit?
do the Immigration check the backgound of the person who signed the Affidavit,attached with her bank statments, for the student visa process or they mainly will check the student's background? my friend is concerned as she doesnt want her aunt to be in any trouble!

You can use your eb3 EAD.
But first to get into EB2 category, you have to first file another separate labor with a different employer (w/same employer it will most likely rejected) and then file 140 separately agian and then once your 140 is approved get it interfiled and then port from eb3 to eb2.

i know the character as being chinese (but it's probably definately a japanese one as well). and it means to "paint/draw" so it has huge relevance to kirupa.com. as far as the stamp goes - it could be a little more interesting. it's kind of too white and plain-jane. Here is my question. In my college days bacd in the early 90's and mid 90's, I used to work and worked with my original Social secuirty number. Another words, I was given pay checks. I paid taxes and got refunds as well. Obviouslly all illegal since I had no permission to work as I was on FI visa. Anyways, after graduating college, I got H1b visa. Now I am in my 9th year, and my labor and I140 have already been approved. So the question is, when I am called for my 485 interview, will they know that i worked illegally, will they have records of that. I also have a DWI. I think DWI is ok, as I have read many got their green cards after this. I am more concerned with my working illegally.
Just recentlly I was sued by Discover card. The judgement against me in teh court was for 10,000 +. I have paid half of it and will pay the rest in 6 months. Will that affect my Green Card.
Please eloborate.

You have to disclose and consult those question with your immigration lawyer since they will have a better answer for that particular problems and usually your lawyer will company you during the interview. If you've got lucky there will be no interview at all.
if you ever got out from US after violated your status and get back in, get a new I94 and never violated your status again after your last entry by working illegaly you should be fine.
Or if your total working hour is not over 180 days there is law if I'm not wrong part of ac21 that pardon that kind of violation as long as it's not more than 180 days.

I know this has been asked gazillion times but jsut wanted to make sure I got it right.
On uscis website for my I-485 it says " On June 9th we recieved you application and ........so forth.
The date when this is done is June 13th as seen on the LUD.
So my understanding is that my 6 months period for me to knick in the AC21 rule would be Dec'9th.
Is this correct ??

Is it correct that with an AP you are not guaranteed re-entry? There was a qualifier on the INS website? For how many months is it valid? DO you need a lawyer to re new it or is it an easy process that any layman can re-new on their own?

The Original Post said he was contracting for Federal Govt. It is possible to contract with most Depts on H-b, EAD , GC regardless of your immigration status.
It is not true, that it is not possible to work in Fed Govt on H1 or EAD. Hundreds of contractors work for the Federal govt in DC area who are on H1-Bs.

Not too shabby for your first attempts. You do need to use a smaller aperture, though. For example, on your shots of the mixing boards, guitar and railing (the one with all the circles), if you had used f/16 or f/22 instead of say f/5.6 you would have gotten a lot more "depth", ie: more stuff in focus, to the shots. This isn't to say that you always want everything in focus but sometimes you do.
Don't forget that the trick to using smaller apertures for maximum depth of field is to focus on the object (or point of an object) that is closest to the camera....everything else behind it will be in focus (even though it won't look that way when taking the shot.

I don't see a reason why premium processing will lead to rejection. Certainly that is not the case with H-1B. Infact 2-3 years back H-1B premium processing had 0.5% higher approval rate than regular H-1B.
