Probably it's better to delete a plist than trying to alter it. As you were told, after deleting the file, a new one is generated by the application when it next opens.
If you are concerned about initially deleting the file, you can always move it onto the desktop and then delete it after everything is running ok. In the unlikely event of something untoward, you can always move the original file back to its original position.

Jeez, you can remove Launchpad from the dock, so chill.
Not one single pro feature has been removed from Lion. Not one. In fact some have been added.

I'm still looking for a Javascript IDE. Today I learned that Netscape and ActiveState plan to (http://www.activestate.com/Corporate/Communications/Releases/Press959151041.html) co-develop a Javascript IDE based on ActiveState's Komodo (http://www.activestate.com/Products/Komodo/) product, but I learned from their product manager that they are still deciding what features it will include. So it doesn't sound imminent.
If anyone knows of a Javascript IDE product that already exists, please let me know.
Thanks!

Yes, you are correct. You should have taken the screen protector off of the back of the phone before you placed the case on it. I have three of the CaseCrown cases and I love the feel and look of the case on the iPhone 4. Besides, you really don't need a screen protector for the back of the phone because of the material that is on the case. Good luck on getting it off.

This will be the thread dealing with the West County :apple: Store and the St. Louis Galleria :apple: mini Store.
I'm actually teetering on whether I should get it immediately. Hmm... Half of a Christmas present perhaps? :D

I am not excited about this information being stored. However, until there is proof that the data actually gets sent back to Apple, I think Apple gets a temporary pass on this. But they are going to need to prove it in the media.
This is a good and important distinction, that the iPhone is storing the data but not sending it to anyone.
It brings to mind the question of why does the iPhone hold onto the location data for years? If it's not being sent to anyone else, then it means its collecting it for on-device services. I can't think of anything the iPhone does that requires it to know every location you've ever used it in all the time you've owned it. Hell, the only thing I can think of is that Maps might want to know your last known location so that it knows what to show on start up, in the event of crash or something that requires Maps to start cold.

Definitely not China if you're going for the 3G model, since it requires extra approval from multiple government agencies, and the first generation of iPad WiFi+3G hasn't made it to the market so far...

A native app would be nice, especially one for the forums.
Follow the discussion here (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=558210) about a native app

Would Joe Jackson do this??
You bet your frickin' life he would!!!
A sleaze, in the skin of a Human Being.
If we are discussing music here, start iTunes, go to the store, enter "Joe Jackson" and you will find some music that beats anything Michael Jackson has ever done.

Looks to be around 10's of thousands per day.
Here's a couple press releases for Angry Birds, which floats around #1 to #4:
http://socialtimes.com/angry-birds-nabs-30-million-downloads-on-android-beats-12-million-on-iphone_b40929
http://reviews.cnet.com/8301-19512_7-20013385-233.html
But the number of downloads falls off steeply from the top spot to only a few per day around app #40000 out of 400,000 total apps.
Added:
I found a couple blog posts that attempt to estimate the number of downloads from the App store ranking:
http://ajnaware.wordpress.com/2009/02/17/estimating-app-sales-from-rankings-part-2/
and
http://www.musingpaw.com/2011/04/estimating-iphone-app-store-sales-from.html
Doesn't look super accurate, but the equations are probably more useful than throwing darts at random numbers.

Yeah thats a good point. You are preaching to the choir, I really miss the feature (hence asking Loren about it). I don't imagine it will be too much longer before the 'Services' option in the iPhone version goes as well.
some of those 'services' are pretty pointless. I don't think 2 of them even work.

How did you manage to do that?
Are you JB and removed it using SSH or another cydia package?
Why dont you just restore it?
