US economy is designed this way, everyone will get their own share. No one bothers about optimizing the chain and reducing the cost. If they do that whole economy will collapse. If people started sticking to one marriage and stop taking the divorces, these lawyers will not have work and that portion of economy will collapse. If you have time please watch this video

I checked with some folks who have got GCs in the past and they mentioned that FP (2nd time ) is not needed.....unlike the minds of USCIS one's FP doesn't change over his lifetime...that said..if you apply renew EAD u can get FP notice....
But if 15 month rule of FP is correct then very few will get approved as very few have received 2nd FP notice....so I am not sure what is good or bad...we need to know if the folks who had got FP notice had recently renewed their EADs or not.
I am current next month but I rate my odds as 2/98 meaning 2% chance of getting clear.....taking into account RD/ND/transfer/FP all vagaries into account....even Indian monsoon is more predictable.

can you post the address that you sent to ? I am planning to do the same too. I will attach an email from the travel agent for loss of money if i cancel my tickets.

uscis works in funny ways (as we all know). As I stated in earlier post one case in nebraska i know got rejected and they stated that the appeals decision wasn't precedent. The texas cases received rfe's but got approved based on the decision.
Just yesterday, I received 140 denial from texas where they didn't even discuss the decision and just picked on that bachelors was three year degree.
Same case was with me. They picked on my 3 year bachelor degree. Can i do appeal after 2 years ?

Same scenario in our case. I got my EAD very soon but my wife didn't. We called USCIS and got the stupid response "Wait for 60 days". That 60 days was after we had already waited for 90 days.
We took the infopass appointment and found out that post-mail containing my wife' EAD was returned by post office (USPS). They said they would send again in 10 days.
The reason I found that in our apartment mail box, only my name was written. So after the infopass appointment I wrote my wife's name too. We got it within 10 days.
I think that happened because the USCIS envelop has wordings : "return services requested..."
And I think the main reason is my and my wife last name are different.

Figures suggest that there are over 800,000 pending applications. Recapture will get around approximately 215,000 green cards. We are shot of around 600,000 green cards, which will take around 4 years (@140k/yr EB green card) to address the current backlog, which contains your and mine application. This is a deep deep hole and EB3-I is at the bottom of this hole.

I have one question: My I-485 applcation (employment based) was rejected due to I-130 attachment in error.
If USCIS reject my entire package of I-485 because I have attached I-130 application. What are my options? Is there any law that USCIS can only reject I-130 and accept I-485 appplications (myself and for my wife)? I have seperate fee checks for all the applications.
Please help me....

Senior guys, if you don't like a thread, ignore it, the thread may be of interest to some people on the forum. So let those people talk. Also since nothing is happening on the immigration, what else public will do other than 'Time pass'???

After doing all this "very important" discussion about Rs/$ conversion, if you get sometime, please read some news about immigration bill to find out that there is lot of activity going on with the immigration bill. Most of the time anti-immigrats are calling and putting pressure on lawmakers who support any sort of immigration bill. That is why McCain, Brownback and many others backed out. Anti-immigrants are working overytime making it look like as if their opinion is the opinion of the entire nation. Each person is making 20-30 phone calls a week. But it is ok if none of us is doing anything. Lets all "time pass" and have this very important discussion about Rs/$ eachange rate variation... right?
Communities/groups/societies who do not understand the need to organize and standup for themselves always perish. Durbin-Grassley bill is just the beginning of the time for this high skilled immigrant community to disappear. Reason - When any group of people increases in number there is always another group which becomes its natural opponent/adversary. This community of over a million people also have very powerful opponent/adversary. That opponent is gaining strength and working overtime to purge all of us. But that is ok, let us talk about Rs/$ conversion rate. Anybody here from Uruguay or Morocco??? Why don�t people from Uruguay or Morocco and all other countries of the world join us in this VERY VERY important discussion about the recent exchange rate variation of Indian Rs/$. Perhaps u r right. Lawyer might have just made up that story to get him off his back. The guy was pretty annoyed at not getting FP notice. He went for infopass twice and all they did was sent a FP request to CIS (told him they were doing that) but nothing happened.

As per my understanding there is nothing much USCIS can do in terms of creating laws since that is what only Congress can do. Only thing that CIS can do is efficiently use the 140K visa numbers allocated. So the only issue for backlogged folks is how CIS uses the spill over numbers. Till 2007 these visa numbers went to EB3 but we still see that Eb3 is struck in 2001 levels. Where as just one year of giving it to EB2 moved them to 2006 and then brought back to 2004 levels. I feel the only help of EB3 is recapture of visa # or removal of country limits anything else will fall short of any help needed.

There will be no movement in May bulletin, but June bulletin will be Jan 1 2006 for EB2. I'm guessing this based on last 3 years, where there was no movement in May but had significant jump every June.
What is the purpose of this guess work, or non-scientific predicting? Just wait and see, what happens? Favourable speculation is not going to generate real good bulletin.

Thanks ilikekilo for the information. My husband medical coverage will start on the same day of his joining date. There is no waiting period. We need to find out what kind of healthcare plan they are providing and check whether my hospital and OB is under there network.
